S01E01 – Subject 117
Cade Foster, a former thief who rebuilt his life into something stable and loving, suddenly finds his world collapsing in a series of bizarre, terrifying events. He experiences violent hallucinations, loses his job after someone leaks his sealed criminal record, and discovers his finances have been wiped out. As Cade tries to understand who is targeting him, he meets Detective Hitchens—another man whose life was similarly destroyed after experiencing the same visions.
Hitchens reveals a disturbing theory: they are both being watched and manipulated by aliens, the Gua, who infiltrate human society using genetically engineered clones. Cade initially doubts this, but the evidence mounts—surveillance in his home, coded clues, and a hidden message buried in a maze.
When Cade returns home, he finds his wife Hannah murdered. The police frame him for the crime, and despite his protests, he is declared insane and committed to a psychiatric facility.
The final reveal comes from the aliens themselves: Cade was Subject 117 in a massive psychological experiment designed to test human will under extreme adversity. Unlike the other 116 subjects, Cade resisted every attempt to break him—even after the aliens murdered his wife and replaced her with a clone. His resilience makes him uniquely dangerous to them.
The episode ends with the aliens preparing to dissect Cade’s brain, while ominously repeating the prophecy tied to the number 19—the number of millions who will die on the first day of their planned invasion.
